@tenantrep1 @DC_DeWitt That's part of the problem - it's ONLY happening in Columbus. DoD's projection has only 14 of 88 counties in Ohio growing in population. And most of Cbus growth happens at the expense of the rest of Ohio, not from external migration into the state.
@NotFifthGear@pgaynor14 I wouldn't view it as compromising the racing - it's a strategic move to get in front of a huge audience and you have one shot to do it. Make it an oval under the lights. I think it's the right move, and if executed well, could introduce a ton of new fans to the sport.
@ArchieOReilly_ And he had plenty of cushion on ROY - he could've given up position and still gotten it. Spotter should've been keeping him apprised of where he was in the running...
@By_NathanBrown Absolutely seems like F1 is spooked. But the larger issue is Indycar doesn't own any tracks - acquiring more facilities needs to be the series' next push.
@b_kies@townsendbell@AlexPalou@CGRTeams Didn't realize that Prema was ineligible. Still, would be a mega statement for them to put a car inside the LC in their inaugural season.
@dINDYmals I'm hopeful that even though Fox makes their money selling broadcast advertising, that with an ownership stake, they may finally look at an F1-style subscription model for US fans...
@By_NathanBrown Isn't some of this an immediate indictment of the schedule? Huge number right off the bat that falls apart after a 3 week hiatus and a glorified exhibition race. Arlington will help in '26, but have to keep fans engaged early in the season to keep the momentum.
