For first time moms, especially if you're planning on having your baby at Mediclinic, watch out for this, it's about avoiding the "top up" nightmare that they push on moms, suggesting they don't have enough milk when they absolutely do.

@herandrews Your parents were also "lucky" that she didn't outlive them, otherwise you'd need to make retirement plans for them, make sure she gets paid care, doesn't get abused etc.
@Phixxer@pr337h4m@Aella_Girl I think it's frustrating when I see their Facebook posts now begging for work when they absolutely unskilled and then I see men telling young women that they doing them a giant favour offering this set up.
@dTipping62@eddchii@OIIIEGA@blondemedSJW Kind and sweet doesn't generate an income. In years gone by they would live in a family homestead, this is obviously not the case now.
Have noticed this as well. Who do they think is going to look after the child when the parent passes on? Thoughts and prayers and good vibes don't magically create a supportive household for an "orphaned" old disabled child.
Just look at some of the replies 💀
Some of the loudest voices calling parents murderers for acknowledging the crushing reality of severe disability are almost always the first to opose disability funding & comprehensive social support. They'll call you a communist for supporting policies tha that guarantee lifelong support for these families & children.
Demanding a child be born only to abandon them to a chronically underfunded, broken care system isn't pro-life, it's just mandatory birth.
You're Pro-birth & just want the moral superiority of forced birth while leaving families alone to drown in the aftermath.
Major cheat code in life: Master the graceful exit. From conversations. From parties. From opportunities. "This has been wonderful, but I need to go." No elaborate excuses. No fake emergencies. Just clear, kind departure. Most people don't know how to leave. They stay too long or leave badly. Master the exit.
@Phixxer@pr337h4m@Aella_Girl I have two friends and a relative who were tradwives. Husband divorced them and made sure they suffered financially. They are not skilled for the job market and zero experience.
@SalvMattera People with a lot of support and family money have no way of understanding someone with no support and very little money who live in a country where there is no one to look after said child when they pass away.
