Great day in London in celebration of the proclamation of His Majesty Charles III as King, and also to pay our respects to the late Queen Her Majesty Elizabeth II. Bonus Being interviewed by the lovely @mstender!
The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.
This is why it matters. Representation. My daughter doesn’t have to have an interest in football. She just has to know that it’s an option. That she can become anything she sets her little heart on. From a princess to a lioness. And everything in between. #Lionesses#WEURO2022
Læs denne fremragende artikel fra @mettestender om dem, der mistede livet og deres pårørende - mens UK - under Bojos ledelse - kæmpede med eksplosive corona- tal. Tog man faren alt for let? - er det gennemgående spørgsmål. @tv2newsdk https://t.co/ISlAnCZPas

NEW: Being circulated by no10 ahead of tonight’s vote - leadership contest would “unleash a distracting, divisive and destructive civil war in the Conservative party… dominating the agenda and alienating voters” 🔥
CUT OUT AND KEEP: I've been crunching numbers in case of a vote of no-confidence to compare results
If the rebels get:
121 votes: Johnson will have done as badly % wise as John Major in 1995
133 votes: Worse than May in 2018
147 votes: Worse than Thatcher v Heseltine in 1990
🚨 NEW statement from No10 on tonight’s no confidence in Boris Johnson:
“Tonight is a chance to end months of speculation and allow the government to draw a line and move on, delivering on the people’s priorities.” 1/2
NEW: Sucker punch 'no confidence' letter submitted by Tory MP Jesse Norman
He says Johnson claiming vindication by Gray report is 'grotesque'
Adds PM's administration is 'charade', policy proposals 'deeply questionable', Union is at 'risk', & he's acting like president, not PM
BREAKING: A confidence vote in Boris Johnson is set to be announced this morning, I understand.
Sir Graham Brady is expected to make a statement to camera around 8am confirming that the threshold of 54 letters has been met, I'm told.
Why are the Tories so far behind? We asked swing voters in Wakefield for the top reason to vote Labour. They are:
1. Boris Johnson tried to cover up partygate, and lied to the public (+40)
2. Boris Johnson is not in touch with working-class people (+39)

NEW @JLPartnersPolls in @thesundaytimes with @ShippersUnbound
Labour have a 20-point lead over the Conservatives in the Red Wall seat of Wakefield, ahead of the by-election later this month
The main reason given for voting Labour is Boris Johnson
Thread on the details. (1/10)
