@colingale It’s not so much a criticism of him. But it is a criticism of where the club seems to see itself. He was a worthwhile signing in a desperate situation. But a club like Aberdeen with a big budget in Scottish football should be aiming much higher than a battering ram journeyman.
@Paul_R_McDonald Especially a goal that ultimately resulted in nothing. A reminder of another disastrous campaign that we glorify far more than we should
@heraldscotland Their team won the league and they got pissed up and celebrated 😂. They weren’t thinking about 17th century hangings, whatever the narrative you want to pin on it
@Aberdeenpure I’d never fall into the trap of saying “if hearts can do it, why not us”. But if our scouting and recruitment doesn’t extend further than ex-St Mirren players who will “do a job”, then we need to reevaluate our place in Scottish fitba.
@markpougatch Absolutely, Mark. I remember at the start of the season a commentator mentioned the stadium exploded due to a last minute winner, without even considering the near 300k victims of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. Zero self-awareness.
@RamsayGolf I’ll never understand those who say it’s more exciting to see a 350 yards drive and a short iron to the green. We’ve lost so much of that sense of risk and reward.
@SkySportsNews You’re nothing more than the propaganda arm of the PL, desperately screaming ITS THE GREATEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD to anyone willing to listen
@AberdeenFC Hope he proves us all wrong, good luck to him. It’s a big job in the summer so the board need to back him well and not have him fed to the wolves right away
