The police are not to blame for upholding the law. The people to blame, both police and protesters, are the ones who were there.

@sullieship @SadiqKhan The High Court didn't say it was legal. They refused the decision. This is the current law in terms of the National Lockdown. You will see that the actual event yesterday did not comply. I don't think it could have been made to comply.

@TheLongerGame I have been researching this and believe that you made up 99.9%. Between 5% & 10% are hospitalised. The current death rate is 0.4% - 0.8%. Using lowest figured if 500k people get it, 25,000 people are treated in hospital, 2,000 die. Others die because hospitals are full.

@Peston Having had a father in law with dementia it may be that these are Covid related deaths but not in the direct sense. Experience suggests that change can quickly worsen dementia. The change caused by Covid-19 may have hastened deaths rather that simply caused them.

@bbclaurak Here's the thing about the system. A data sampling to track people most at risk was put together overnight. Not possible to do that without errors. You need to consider, and explain, the size of the task. That"s your job, as part of reporting.

@CarolineLucas The truth is difficult here. NHS have not got the amount they would like and will be conscious that previous protocols are being amended. Matt Hancock is hampered by the fact we are having to build the capacity to supply it ourselves. There is truth in both sides.

@ElaineDando Not so, at least not entirely. Online services do not exclude people, they include those who can reach them. Churches need also to work out how to include the rest. It is not all one, or all the other, it is just all.
