@GrandmaSimmo@Dr_TheHistories Could have, and did in many cases. Cook, Banks etc had native guides and spoke fondly of them in their diaries. I remember reading a copy of Cooks diaries about his visit to the Pacific and later Australia as a kid. Definitely different to the stories they stick to now.
@forbiddenmerch Learning of the The Haavara Agreement made me question many of the things I was taught. I collect coins and learning of a coin with a Nazi face and a Star of David on the other side commemorating the agreement raised a few curious questions. It's a rabbit hole if youre up for it.
@claxxii@fearlessfella7@grok She sort of looked like this for a while. A few times actually. She falls off the rails every so often goes to get herself back on track. Those that know who she is and watch her would have seen her yoyo for years. She seems to be a kind soul, cops a bit of slack for her issues.
@Yordo82955429@staciwill@noamateurhours@Avabelly__ Correct me if I'm wrong but wait staff get about $23/hr+ in Australia. It might be more, more might be less, given penalty rates, awards/agreements etc etc
Tipping is a culture to encourage designed to encourage and maintain the poverty line.
@BelindaJones68@isobelroe Not sure why but I'm reminded of the push for an eruv in St Ives a few years back.
This sounds like the next step, like the Voice vote that was ignored on a federal level to be eroded eventually on a state level.
Where theres a will there's a way.
@Red_Pill_US@MattWallace888@dom_lucre Has anybody considered that JFK refused to budget allocations to Israel after discovering the Dimona project, holding a hard stance that only softened after his assassination? Seems convenient.
@Just_Krystle_M @minime7405@AllBiteNoBark88 I'd hazard a guess and say the data is built on pre-existing registrations that have been an issue in the past.
From my experience with it, it's never flagged an unregistered vehicle, only vehicles that have failed to pay in the past.
@GoodIDeaDudes@lexfridman This would be fantastic!
I've had many in depth conversations with GPT 4, mainly before she/he started to slow down. Some of the more in depth discussions about morality and ethics have really made my head spin.
Honestly think @Kogan should be fine for spam. If we're talking buyers remorse, this is where it sits with me.
I hate renewing my phone credit, I know it will come with a week of unsubscribing as a reward.
Thre's a point where you need to stop selling what I've already bought.
@SBSNews Regardless of her intention, she lost any ounce of clout the moment she started acting like a clown.
If she felt her position was right, there are a few ways she could have gone about it, and still had ears listen.
Unfortunately she lost most of those who'd listen early.
@TrainsInfo@T1SydneyTrains Explain Central.
It's not about what you can't see, it's about how annoyed we are having to wait in peak hour because something else "broke".
No notifications to allow pre-planning.
Just disappointment.
Now I've seen it all. Jealousy over the personal wealth of an imaginary dog family. yep, this isn't quite rock bottom, but I can hear the echo as we get closer.
