A lot of people are misreading Phantom's decision to drop Monad.
Let me explain why.

Phantom supported Monad from the very beginning.

Despite that early support, it failed to establish a meaningful user base on the network.

Then it pivoted toward Robinhood.

At almost the same time, MetaMask made a bold move by announcing zero gas fees on the Monad network.

What happened wasn't that Monad lost Phantom.

Phantom lost the battle for relevance on one of the fastest-growing Layer 1 ecosystems.

That's the logic people are getting backwards.

Phantom ending support for Monad does not mean Monad failed.

It means Phantom failed to secure its position within the Monad ecosystem.

The narrative should be corrected.

Phantom didn't abandon Monad.
