The Discover Korea group participated in the “discover” phase of the program over the weekend. The discover phase included socio-cultural activities that contributed to wellness.

Discover Korea students sought a comprehensive understanding of “wellness” by exploring populations outside higher ed. Had an opportunity to explore a lifelong learning institute (e.g. senior adults), hagwon, schools for deaf-blind, and middle-high schools.

The international student pop. at @murraystateuniv is growing post-Covid. Discover Korea students met with support services and academic programs to understand issues Korean students exp. as well as how they are being supported @DaeguUnivIVF

Murray State University and Daegu University began a cultural exchange partnership in 2001. Today, both institutions shared what the exchange means to their respective institutions. Thank you to President Park, Dean Ryoo, and Manager Kang for greeting us warmly upon our arrival.

South Korea here we come. Over the next 2 wks, Samir Patel and I are co-leading a study abroad prog called Discover Korea. DK is for post-bac students and examines student wellness is an Asian culture. Our participants are FT pros in higher ed and K-12 ed. Enjoy the show.
