There is also important business/financial information in my WhatsApp chats. I cannot access my chats, export them, or even reach the normal WhatsApp interface because the age-restriction popup blocks everything.

So I'm stuck in a loop: WhatsApp requires Instagram verification, Instagram is unavailable with no further review, and Facebook also requires access to that same unavailable Instagram account.

My Facebook account is also linked to that Instagram account. Facebook has now been suspended and tells me to log in to the same unavailable Instagram account to appeal.

Because that Instagram account is unavailable and Meta does not allow any further review of it, I have no way to complete the Instagram-based age verification that WhatsApp is directing me to.

The bigger problem is that the Instagram account required for this verification process is itself no longer usable. It was deleted after Meta determined that the account had been used by a minor.

WhatsApp tells me to go to Instagram to confirm my age. I followed the instructions and updated my DOB on my Instagram profile, but the WhatsApp restriction remains unchanged.
