The establishment of the Muhammadu Buhari Centre, a landmark institution, is one of the major initiatives currently in the pipeline. It will be managed and overseen by the Muhammadu Buhari Foundation. It is not going to be just a memorial place, the Centre is envisioned as a world-class destination dedicated to preserving the life, values and legacy of our boss, the late President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
It will serve as a hub for historical documentation, research, leadership development, exhibitions and legacy preservation, while also providing modern facilities for events, learning and recreation.
The Buhari Centre will be one of Abuja’s must-visit destinations. In this place, history will be preserved, ideas are going to be nurtured, while future generations can draw inspiration from the enduring legacy of Nigeria’s most consequential leader.
TRIBUTE TO MY COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF: ONE YEAR ON: LATE PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI GCFR
By Lt Gen Ambassador Tukur Buratai
Today, as we mark the one-year remembrance of the passing of our revered leader, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, I find myself not just mourning a former President, but honoring a Commander-in-Chief whose hand I held in the theater of war and whose vision I executed in the defense of our nation.
His Excellency was more than a statesman; he was a symbol of discipline. In July 2015, when he placed the mantle of Chief of Army Staff upon my shoulders, he gave me a clear, unambiguous order: degrade Boko Haram and restore territorial integrity to the Northeast. He never minced words. He provided the strategic direction and the unwavering political will that empowered the Armed Forces to reclaim our land.
Many have debated his policies, but those of us who served under his command experienced the man firsthand. He was a leader of legendary stoicism, whose belief in the military never wavered. He allowed us the space to operate, trusting our expertise, yet he held us to the highest standard of accountability. It was a "very difficult period" as I have often noted, but it was the clarity of his vision that saw us through the darkest hours of the insurgency. The victories we recorded were a direct reflection of his firm, patriotic determination.
I recall with profound gratitude his trust in me—a trust he linked to the historical loyalty of my father to his own values. That trust was a burden I carried with honour, and I am proud that we did not fail him.
In death, as in life, President Buhari remains the epitome of integrity and modesty. He served this nation with an unblemished personality, rejected ostentation, and retired to his hometown of Daura with the same quiet dignity he brought to the Presidency. His leadership redefined our democratic landscape and laid foundational stones for a secure future.
To his beloved family, I extend my deepest condolences. To the nation he served, I say: we have lost a pillar of honesty.
One year is gone, but the memory of his courage and his dedication to the Federal Republic of Nigeria remains unassailable.
'From Allah we came and to Him we shall return' (Qur'an 2:156).
May the Almighty continue to accept his good deeds, forgive his shortcomings, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus. Ameen.

“Discipline wasn’t a slogan to him; it was a way of life. Integrity wasn’t a political strategy; it was his character. Simplicity wasn’t cultivated for public admiration; it reflected who he truly was. Whether in power or out of office, these values remained remarkably constant”
All over the timeline it’s tributes pouring in from every corner. I never expected it to be this overwhelming. Wallahi Buhari is blessed. Allah yamaka rahama dattijon kirki ❤️
NSA Nuhu Ribadu didn't ask people to talk to me. He was always talking to me directly and supported our operation.

Dear President Muhammadu Buhari,
May Allah grant you Al-Jannah Firdaus and forgive your shortcomings.
We lost you to the terrible hands of death one year ago yesterday.
History has a way of revealing the true weight of every leader's legacy. Today, many who once dismissed your approach are beginning to appreciate the values you stood for, discipline, prudence, and an unwavering commitment to protecting the dignity of the Nigerian state. , I am one of those people.
What makes this even more painful is that the very friend you entrusted with the mantle of leadership now appears to seize every opportunity to distance himself from your legacy, and in the eyes of many, to diminish it. Policies are abandoned, your decisions are publicly questioned, and achievements that once defined your administration are too often treated as obstacles rather than foundations to build upon.
The very people you favored did everything to please are the same ones trying very hard to make you face of nepotism.
No legacy is perfect, and yours was no exception. Yet every leader deserves fairness and respect from those who inherit the office, especially if they are his friends. Leadership is strengthened by continuity where it serves the nation, not by constantly undermining the work of one's predecessor for political convenience.
Your supporters watch with disappointment as the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appears determined to rewrite the narrative of your years in office, often in ways that cast your tenure in an unfair light. Whether history accepts that narrative is another matter entirely, for history ultimately judges leaders by facts, not political expediency.
May your legacy be remembered with honesty, and may future generations judge it with balance rather than partisanship.
May Allah continue to have mercy on you and grant you eternal peace.
Today, I remember you not only as a former President, Baba. I remember you as a father figure, a mentor and a man whose trust shaped our journey in ways words cannot fully express. I remain forever grateful for the opportunity to have served under your leadership.

Remembering President Buhari 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Exactly a year ago President Buhari returned to his maker, a debt we all owe no matter how long we live on this earth
May Allah in His infinite mercies continue to bless Baba Buhari with Aljanna Firdaus
I particularly miss PMB for all his great efforts to stabilize this country, an incorruptible leader, his discipline, his love for the most vulnerable and patriotism
A professional soldier who became one of the most authentic democrats in the history of Nigeria
Baba Buhari is a LEGEND 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
One year since the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
May Allah forgive him, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannah Al-Firdaus. May his legacy continue to inspire service to our nation. Ameen.
The late Emir of Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa, held our late boss, President Buhari, in the highest regard. Their relationship was built on genuine respect, affection and brotherhood. He visited Baba Buhari in Nigeria and about four times in London during his medical stay. Remarkably, three of those visits to London were solely to check on him and pray for his recovery,
May Allah (SWT) forgive their shortcomings, envelop them both in His infinite mercy and grant them the highest ranks in Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
