This whole site used to be something special for everyone now it’s a hellscape. And I’m sorry but when a person with autism has to say it as it is like this you know we’re upset and mad. So I hope Twitter dies. Without moderation like before it’s doomed to suffer.

So now the US gets called out by one our closest allies. The EU hates our current administration, Mexico, and Canada also do. There’s plenty of innocent victims in this and when I try to educate people on the repercussion’s how it will affect us too many people ignore it.

You turned twitter into a place devoid of anything positive, empathy and kindness are weaknesses now. I came back here hoping things would’ve gotten better, now it’s a hellscape. At this point I have to leave Twitter permanently. I hope Twitter dies at this point.

@Mineian0x @AntiPartyParty @jkimballcook The US is the only country I know that doesn’t have an official language at the federal level and that makes us unique. Encourage people to speak English that’s ok..but mandating it is a major problem.

@Mineian0x @AntiPartyParty @jkimballcook That goes against the spirit and tradition of the US. It’s a controversial take to try to push something that many states already do. The constitution makes no mention of us having an official language as is.

@jkimballcook It’s mostly due to tradition but still, it’s important to understand our traditions say nothing about us having to be an English speaking nation.

@jkimballcook America is prohibited from having an official language for the country. At a state level we can but that’s about it. It’s the same with religion. We can’t be an official English speaking nation on paper as it goes against the 1st amendment.

@GiwtnenB @FoxFoxM3 @elchicanomarine Why do you think programs that change news articles to say Gulf of Mexico on US maps are popular right now? look at the google chrome extensions. There’s a ton because people are protesting the name change. It’s as simple as that, it’s too controversial and we made a mistake.

@GiwtnenB @FoxFoxM3 @elchicanomarine Instead it just happened over night and other countries and a decently fair amount of Americans are upset by the decision. There was no tact, no warning, no negotiation with other countries. It’s like giving them the finger is how I see this situation, and we look worse..

@GiwtnenB @FoxFoxM3 @elchicanomarine The government can even help fund most of the efforts to construct wind turbines and even thermoelectric generators. It’s totally doable, just extremely expensive at first. Once everything is in place the price to manage everything goes down.

@GiwtnenB @FoxFoxM3 @elchicanomarine It’s still doable, use petroleum temporarily to get the plastic material to build things like wind turbines. Then stop using petroleum for cars and instead invest billions into electric cars. There’s lot more to it but it’s highly doable if there’s resources.

@GiwtnenB @FoxFoxM3 @elchicanomarine It’s been Gulf of Mexico since the 1500s, that’s the rule basically because of tradition. If Mexico gave if that name before us I feel we’re obligated to respect it. It predates the US, it’s not our place to change a name that’s been there for so long.

@GiwtnenB @FoxFoxM3 @elchicanomarine Well I’m also autistic and it’s always been Gulf of Mexico to me on top of my love of history. The world didn’t agree to the change, it happened without the consent of every other country and on top of that Mexico owns 52% of the gulf. So I say get approval or leave it alone.

@GiwtnenB @FoxFoxM3 @elchicanomarine That ways its a completely fair compromise with people who are upset about the whole thing. Basically push aggressively for clean energy but still use petroleum in extremely limited capacity to produce certain resources like plastics. It’s all about compromise.

@GiwtnenB @FoxFoxM3 @elchicanomarine Put a limited time frame, like say it can be gulf of America for say 3 years for example, then it goes back to Gulf of Mexico automatically if we hypothetically develop better renewable sources of energy. Effectively put a timer on petroleum as the main supplier.

@GiwtnenB @FoxFoxM3 @elchicanomarine Plus history states it’s always been the Gulf of Mexico for over 400 years. As someone who loves history I see it as blasphemy to change the name of a location for political gain, in this case drilling for oil.

@GiwtnenB @FoxFoxM3 @elchicanomarine I believe we should be investing in wind power, nuclear power, hydro power, etc. That’s as an anology if I play a city simulation game I use green energy and avoid coal and gas power because in those games it makes the air less breathable as a way to explain it.
