Compare the recent Meirai Paibi incidents in the valley with those in the hills, where the army brutally shot Mrs. Nianghoihching Simte in front of Hotel Venus, New Lamka. In the valley, Meitei women are allowed to frisk vehicles of the armed forces, block army convoys, and even snatch Meitei terrorists from the custody of Indian Army without any consequences.
