@nostrangenames I think I’m going to take a break from twitter for a while. Until people learn to think about things critically and in detail, I’m just going to get frustrated at how people don’t look past their own noses at /anything./
@nostrangenames They are things meant to stimulate thought, not be the end all be all. The imagined tone people prescribe to him is not at all the attitude he presents them with.
It is so exhausting to see people not thinking and just attacking. Not just at him, but in general.
@nostrangenames He is not sneering at anything, he is just failing at sounding profound.
I do not understand people ‘s fascination with shitting on NDG. If you’ve ever watched his shows, you would know that his Twitter is essentially shower thoughts, and he says as much. :\
@nostrangenames How well does Into the Breach stack up compared to it, in your opinion? I have been on the fence about getting it, but I did really like FTL.
@Casual_Crusader@CubeApril But there is also an old mtg commercial where a person named “Bob from Accounting” is portrayed. Frequently Dark confidant had the “from Accounting “ added on, when people knew what it was referencing.
Maro talked about it on “Drive to Work” once, which is where I learned that.
@MegTheWolff@nicknprince Once, both Meghan and Maria simultaneously answered “Cinnamon Toast Crunch” to the question “What is the best Cereal?”
We are all on the same page here.
@DLittlestCretin @MtACast @TheManaSource Oh, wait until you hear about the legend rule! Or the mulligan rule. Or damage no longer being on the stack. Or literally any of the 6th ed rules changes!
Yeah, this series is going to be real good for people returning after a long time too.
@ninox_morpork I’m so glad everything worked out! Having worked at an animal hospital for several years, I can say that it is rare that people do the right thing. Thank you!
@q8fasol @LHissrich @ZoltanRises Most of this stuff is covered in just the short story books. There is so much more to the Witcher series, and so many places she could take it!
@Whorrorer @nostrangenames You also have to understand that I do not make a lot of money either. I might chip in a few dollars to a paypal for crowdfunding, sure, but I am much more able to help in other ways. Helping a person find a plan of action is usually more helpful than my $10.
@Whorrorer @nostrangenames Let me put it this way; I am a Librarian (when I am not haunting the MtA podcast), I help people find jobs and facilitate them finding resources to help them get back on track. I would much sooner help a person this way instead of giving money.
@Whorrorer @nostrangenames I don’t doubt that the people who asked my friends to give them money needed it, they just didn’t ever have a plan for how to use it, and constantly needed more to cover their inadequacy.
@nostrangenames I only give money to content creators as a rule. I’ve seen several of my friends essentially get milked for cash by people who give them a sad story and then claim that the problem never goes away. :\
