حضرت ابو بکر صدیق رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ نے فرمایا ’’اے لوگو! تم یہ آیت پڑھتے ہو’’ یٰۤاَیُّهَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا عَلَیْكُمْ اَنْفُسَكُمْۚ-لَا یَضُرُّكُمْ مَّنْ ضَلَّ اِذَا اهْتَدَیْتُمْ‘‘اور میں نے رسول اللہ صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ سے سنا ہے کہ ��ب لوگ ظالم کو (ظلم کرتے ) دیکھیں اور اسے (ظلم سے) نہ روکیں تو قریب ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ان سب کو عذاب میں مبتلاء کر دے۔( ترمذی، کتاب الفتن، باب ما جاء فی نزول العذاب اذا لم یغیّر المنکر، ۴ / ۶۹، الحدیث: ۲۱۷۵)
