I’m not exactly sure how this happened, but it seems that, because of the MOU, the Islamic regime believed it had complete control over the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, the U.S. was escorting commercial ships through the Strait via the Omani route. Iran appears to have felt the U.S. was playing them by “giving them control” while continuing to move ships without their approval. They got angry.
Then came Khamenei’s funeral, where the regime once again reminded everyone that the U.S. had just eliminated their “holy” leader. Not long after, they started firing at commercial ships.
It didn’t seem to matter whose ship it was. Saudi, UAE, Qatari. Even if it had been Pakistani, I think they would have fired. They hit at least 3 ships, high chances that number is higher, but the more interesting question is, how many did they miss? How many drones were intercepted?
The U.S. in now furious that Iran fired on commercial shipping. It revoked the sanctions waivers, and I honestly don’t believe this is over. There is a serious dilemma unfolding, and the U.S. is starting to realize that Iran may not be the “new rational regime” it hoped it would be.
UNBELIEVABLE
TRUMP: "For me, the memorandum of understanding is over. I don't want to deal with them anymore. They're scum. And if they get a nuclear weapon.. They're liars.. In my eyes, it's a waste of time to continue talking to them. They're crazy, for me it's over."
This is actually very important that progressives are abandoning the “defund the police” agenda. Seems progressives can make progress on a talking point when flat out wrong.
NEW: Abdul El-Sayed has insisted he “never, never called for defunding” police and said deleted tweets were taken out of context. But new audio hows that in 2020 he defended the idea in interviews saying, “I believe that we do need to defund the police.”

Catching up this morning on the US footie match. Just too many consequential mistakes from the Americans.
Can’t defend in the box, keeper makes a howler to gift Belgium a goal and likely too much wasted mental energy around Balogun red card u-turn.
Belgium clearly a tier above.
Ted Cruz: "On behalf of all Americans, thank you for getting rid of that ridiculous red card."
Trump: "That was interesting."
Cruz: “There’s a reason the FIFA trophy sat here for as long as it did.”
Harry and Jude show rolls on for England. 3 goals. Huge performances at altitude in Mexico City.
Next up Norway in Miami? All about the recovery now. Keep em away from South Beach.
BREAKING @TheAthleticFC
Folarin Balogun will be available to play the USMNT’s round of 16 match against Belgium with his one-game red-card ban suspended. Extraordinary development.

BLOCKBUSTER: The Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.
I think the democrats want the GOP to win the presidency in 2028. Wealth disparity in the past was never handled this way. There are way more clever and way more market based ways to handle it but handling it this way will force the electorate over to the opposing party.
This is brutal destruction in wealth and brand value. Nearly every single player on my kids basketball team wears Nike shoes. This isn't a flight from their core market problem.
So what is the problem or were investors just really dum?
