“The opposite of depression isn’t happiness, it’s vitality.”
I often talk about the futility of chasing happiness.
In #MaybeYouShouldTalkToSomeone, every patient’s story (including mine) is really about a search for vitality… which leads to a deeper sense of contentment.
“Today I adopted a human. It broke my heart to see him so lonely and confused.
And suddenly I got his teary eyes to meet mine. I don't like the smell of sad.
I wanted to jump on him so bad. He spoke to me with cuteness and I knew it, I had to rescue him!, that human needed me.
So I bark with all my strength, I followed him blocks and blocks.
I got close, I could smell his hands. The human smiled for an instant and when he took me in his arms, I started to feel his ice cream heart warmed.
I approached his cheeks and felt a tear roll on them. I looked at him deeply and his response was a brilliant smile. I jumped excited into his arms, I promised to behave, love him forever and never part with his side.
How lucky he was to go through that block, down that street and I feel lucky too.
There were so many people walking around and no one was looking at me.
All worried, all in their troubles. Glad no one else chose me
Today I saved a life.
Today I adopted a human”

My son is 15
I never bought him a pride onesie when he was a baby.
I never read him a book that had two moms as part of the storyline.
When he was little stores and businesses didn’t have LGBTQ+ displays and we didn’t celebrate pride month.
He was raised Catholic, and went to church.
Guess what? He is gay.
The rainbow won’t make your kids gay. They are born that way. A display in a store won’t make your kid trans, they are born that way.
If you don’t love and accept them for who they are, YOU are a shitty parent.
They haven’t failed, you have.
Guys.
it's a dream sequence.
Ted can't sleep on planes.
Every single scenario that took place after getting on the plane was Ted imagining their future without him. Every story was relevant to Ted's life.
We're getting a season 4.
🧵 explaining why:
⏬️⏬️
Wouldn’t it be great if the #TedLasso truth bomb is that he fourth walls it and says into the camera that season 4 starts next week and that’s why season 3 was like five months late coming out and then Beard goes “SEASON 4, BEBEH” and we all cheer?
Anti-LGBTQ conservatives see reports of children being abused in the Catholic Church, the Southern Baptist Convention, the Boy Scouts of America, and by numerous GOP politicians, and they think:
"You know what kids need protection from? Shirts with rainbows on them at Target."
