So glad this conversation is being had.
Transportation and agriculture operate with near-zero tolerance for failure. AI adoption in these systems depends on proven reliability and trust. In agriculture, the first challenge is solving the scale problem—getting to plant-level visibility without losing resolution or fidelity. Without that, efficiency gains are limited.
@fortelabs My Dude... I got you.
Mac: Cursor to store the files and engage agents.
iPhone: IA Writer synced to iCloud
* Cursor just rolled a Preview option on the files that display very clean
Everyone’s reading this Anthropic chart as:
“AI is going to change everything.”
Maybe. Probably.
But it actually shows something else:
The gap between what AI can do and what it’s used for is still massive.
In agriculture, it’s even wider.
LLMs operate in language.
Farms operate in the world.
Tree Count. Gap Count. Nutrient Zones.
Proven, integrated and trusted.
That’s where AI becomes real.
Even in the most currently AI-aligned fields, usage is still a fraction of capability. Pretty astounding.
In agriculture (the world I work in), it’s even smaller.
LLMs don’t map cleanly to the physical world.
Physical world impact needs sensing, verification, and integration.
This chart is getting read as “AI will change everything.”
What it actually shows is how little AI is used vs what it could do.
In agriculture, that gap is even wider.
LLMs operate in language.
Farms run on measurement.
That’s where the real buildout is.
@aakashgupta For Growers, it's always been and will be about: more yield, higher quality... direct levers to top-line revenue.
Reducing costs is less of a driver.
Ag tools that are already scaled or tackling the scale embedded in agriculture are what will matter moving forward.
@punk3700@martin_casado Love this.
It's really periodicity of performance training. Human performance has fundamental analogs for business performance, but they are really the same
The "moment" to endure (or attack) is predicated on everything else done prior to the Moment.
About The Doing.️
@lucasaganronald Am I the only one that did the following:
Right click > Open Image in New Tab > zoom to head unit to see...
What power was MDVP putting down as he took this pic?
A1: Can't quite tell (looks like 315)
A2: Yes, I did. And I have no apologies.
@yohaniddawela This is a great thread.
I would push be on 10m2 being high resolution. What was the res on the images you posted? Great to make the point, but those don’t look like 10m images.
Again, this is an interesting progression but words & definitions matter
@MashfordMahute Our team at https://t.co/BFbF3rJYKV uses UAV (RGB/MX) primarily, but we have developed a *proven* 4x super resolution that uses aircraft RGB to resolve to drone equivalent (trained on ~1M hi-res artifacts.
We use this for our @agroviewai platform for tree-based ag. Check it out.
