Come take my old job! Raleigh's @newsobserver
is hiring an investigative reporter to work on McClatchy's NC investigations team.
I can't say enough about what a stellar crew this i-team is, and the N&O newsroom is just a fantastic place to work. https://t.co/oU2N5w3Lb5
A bit of personal news: This week is my final one at @newsobserver.
In a few days, I'll start work as McClatchy's lead editor for AI innovation in journalism, building out a team to help our local newsrooms responsibly harness data, automation and AI to elevate our reporting.
In related news: I'm hiring! Come work for me as our team's first AI innovation journalist/developer.
We need someone who can blend journalism & tech experience to test, train & build tools to supercharge reporting in newsrooms from Miami to Olympia.

The best part is that I can continue to do that work here in Raleigh, in collaboration with the N&O and other local McClatchy newsrooms across the country committed to serving their communities.
Given the absolute trash heap that is this platform, I'm largely shifting over to Threads for now.
Feel free to follow me there.

“If DoorDash has a bug in the system, you might not get your potato chips. If there’s a bug in this system, people get arrested." Powerful journalism from @mtdukes, @VirginiaBridges, @oehrli and @ethanhyman on a troubled NC system that is expanding. https://t.co/NLgl7NdGAq
