One person deciding in a vacuum doesn't work.

Deciding by committee leads to "decisions disliked by the least people".

An experienced leader hearing everyone's perspective and then making the call, with others trusting that leader, works best.

@MsEldritch Absolutely. Sometimes when something makes you feel bad, it's a real problem that you need to address with someone. But other times, it doesn't, and feeling can just be acknowledged and validated without anything further. The latter is definitely a lesson I've had to learn.
