Hi all! So. We are trying to figure out the future of the show. I value your input. Yeah this is silly and informal to run a poll, but I think a 10 month hiatus means we have lost “professionalism”
;)
So! IF drew can’t do the show (we aren’t sure), what are your thoughts?
Jamie will be on the @MangumTalks podcast discussing this show.
Podcasting? Check!
Mtg? Not so much.
But if you like Star Wars and/or Jamie talking to you, it’ll be great!
@FrankLepore I saw a “no ban list legacy” and thought “well….i didn’t remove the drs from my old elves deck from when it was legal….ill just submit the same deck I did for the GP!”
Didn’t do great…at all. Was fun though.
@NerdyLexicon@Jamie7Keller No.
Bluffing is good. Misrepresentations annd untruths are bad.
People should play a good clean game. People should play a beautiful game. People shouldn’t try to be as scummy as possible before crossing the line.
If a person says “I will not win this turn” and then attacks with lethal unblockable….seems like they are prevented by estoppel from winning and the only way to fulfill their reps and warranties is by conceding prior to damage.
Weird way to announce you concede.
@NerdyLexicon@Jamie7Keller To make it a better analogy
“I attack. I have no tricks in hand and will put you to one life and will not kill you this turn if you don’t block”
“Ok. No blocks”
“Giant growth kill you gg.”
Should be a forced concession? Not the current rules. But should be?

These are my most prized possessions. The point of buying my cards is helping me afford a furnace to heat my place and make sure my cats are okay. If you lowball me at all I’m blocking you.
Uploaded Q&A stream with @DevotedDruid to YouTube (links below). She does a better job articulating the key philosophies associated with building/playing a Gaea's Cradle deck better than I ever could. I learned a lot on how to become a better MTG player in general.
@hello_newton Ahh. I confess I am far out of the meta (basically stopped following when this podcast ended) so I don’t know how best to describe it. My idea of a cradle deck is the one you have pinned from 2020.
But cradle is my favorite card so I want tinkerer this new version. :)
@DevotedDruid @hello_newton Awesome! I’ll watch for it (I hope it’s recorded in case I miss it)
Cradle is my favorite card and I still have a (now unplayablenin the meta) elves! Deck together. I’m thinking about buying back in with a list matching or similar to yours. :)
@DevotedDruid Hi there! I was talking over your list with my friends and really like it. Rather than pester you with questions, I wondered if you had any write up your deck, or recordings of your matches, I can see online?
I want to build this deck. I want to learn it. I want to have Cass as a podcast guest to teach us all how to top 4 Eternal Weekend with her favorite deck.
Congrats Cass!
@emmaskyeward Ok so these are the only two official things I could find.
The video game had lands on top (though note your opponents field was rotated to face you so it was…also on top? Or not on top?
