@JayFCox @ProfNoahGian This is because "up" and "down" are (locally) the same for everybody since gravity points in the same direction. Left and right are fully dependent on your orientation (and the meaning of the words even dependent on the context, as discussed above)

@ProfNoahGian and should thus be indistinguishable. But: We define left and right relative to where front and back are, while we define top and bottom absolutely. If you would do the same for left and right by using your western and your eastern hand, those would not be reversed either.

@ProfNoahGian I am not entirely happy with the front-back solution that other people in the comments have proposed. While this is the first part, because the normal axis of the mirror plane is the "front-back-axis", the "left-right-" and "top-bottom-axis" both lie in the plane of the mirror

1. what percentage of known mushroom species do you think are POISONOUS (not necessarily deadly, but classified as poisonous) AND
2. what *country* are you from?

@annethegnome I have no clue, so my best guess would be 50% in theory. But since my gut says that while many aren't edible they are not necessarily poisonous I will correct to 40%. Germany
