Utilities is performing maintenance to the water tank that supplies Stanley. Maintenance began on 7/12/10 and will continue until 8/23/10.

The Mayor and City Council of the City of Mount Holly has appointed Mr. Danny Jackson to the City Manager’s position effective immediately.

The February 22, 2010 City Of Mount Holly Council Work Session Meeting is canceled. The next meeting will be held March 8, 2010 at 7pm

City Council completed their annual retreat on Tuesday. Everyone worked really hard. There was a lot of positive discussion moving forward.

Week #2 recycling tonnage: 18.38 tons

Recycling numbers for week 1 are in: 20.1 Tons recycled. Remember that recyclables are collected every other week.

The gas company will be working Tuesday and will have several lanes closed in the Hwy 27 and Main St. area on & off during the day.

Because of the rain expected tomorrow (11-17) and Wednesday (11-18) the work on Main and Hwy. 27 will be delayed for another week.
