@nicolesjchung Really sorry to hear this. When my mom had covid, she thought she was in the clear and had 3 more days of hell. Hoping you can breathe/feel better soon
@MindaHoney Musang! Just went there w/ @amandacastleman per her excellent recommendation. PSSSST, TLDR; this is my home city now, if you're free at some point this weekend & still in town, would love to see you
@susanthesquark +1, also, bad experiences/ bad edits can make you rethink: why am I even doing this? But asking myself, “why is this story important to me?” really helps with writer’s block
The day before I host a cooking class on the history of café de olla, I read this beautiful piece by @yosoyyosi & nearly started balling. If you have an abuela you're missing right now, who taught you everything you know about the kitchen, this is for you https://t.co/GlGpzdzfQJ
@KFILE Not sure if you follow Run 4 PRs on insta, but they have this helpful post on tapering. Typically you reduce your long runs 20% week over week: https://t.co/SndtJtMs86
I'm running a half marathon in 2 months & was just reading about this 😅
@ZacharyLipez I am late to reading this, h/t @NedRaggett, but just want to say I've read this 3 times in the last 48 hours, and laugh harder each time. Thank you for writing this!
@emmaruthless "Sometimes I think about the guy I lost my virginity to, and I think about telling him how much money I have. I think it would feel wonderful." 😑 I wish to read a piece by a person in the same position who has bigger struggles than: how will I pick a competent wealth manager?
@sabzi_k@sabina_writes It’s in Sabina’s pentameter, I can hear her on each line break. AND she found her draft of it. This can only mean 1 thing: SUBMIT IT
I went to my favorite bookstore in CDMX 3 years ago, found a book of poetry I loved, contacted the author & worked with him for a year on the translation. So happy to see Mario Panyagua’s original poem & my translation published alongside of it.

@emmaruthless You are making me relive memories of Mr. Nanny and Junior and I'm not sure if I'm ready for these memories on a balmy Thursday night, or ever
