NPA Says Prosecutor Felt Unsafe in Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni Case

NPA Head, Adv Andy Mothibi says he was informed that prosecutor Adv Mkhuseli Ntaba felt unsafe while handling the high-profile case against Mpumalanga taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni and others.

Ntaba failed to appear in the Kwaggafontein Magistrates’ Court on 18 May 2026, leading to the case being struck off the roll, a warrant for his arrest for contempt, and his suspension by the NPA.

Mothibi described the incident as disappointing but said the matter will be re-enrolled.
