On Colbert last week I mentioned my 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Mueller, who after reading a poem I wrote, told me I could be a writer when I grew up. I never forgot those words. So what an utter delight when I looked up from the signing table in New Orleans and saw Ms. Mueller there!
I’ve been doing this work for nearly 11 years and today was the first time I cried because I can feel a shift in the zeitgeist in America against gun extremism. It’s happening.…
Every time I expressed frustration today, I got advice back in return. And I started thinking about how annoying it is that all my friends feel compelled to meet my complaints with advice. And then I realized I probably do the same to my kids.
Proof Elon Musk is pushing his agenda? @NPR gets labeled “state-affiliated media” which is bogus. @starsandstripes, which is actually owned by the US government, is ignored.
Wow, way to make this label meaningless. NPR is absolutely not even comparable to propaganda outlets like RT & Sputnik, which have no editorial independence. This is ridiculous and only helps actual propaganda outlets blend in with legitimate news outlets.
Welp. The URL for Twitter's "Resources for Researchers" (info about using the API to retrieve data for research) is now returning a page that says "Nothing to see here."
On the Left, you can see what it looked like previously, before Musk dismantled API access for researchers.

I did a talk at the University of Montana tonight and at the end the moderator asked everyone in the room who had benefitted from Crash Course to stand up and like 80% of the people stood up and I cried like a big doob.

Honey bees, although a valuable domesticated animal, are not remotely threatened with extinction. The real concern lies with 3,999 other bee species in North America, where incredible losses in native bee diversity are already happening. (From 2015) https://t.co/U8Llps36c8
