"Wisdom begins in wonder.” The daily happenings of Mrs. Walchuk’s Grade 6 class

[Professor Carol Campbell @CarolCampbell4]

History has shown when govt/politicians intervene in & censor curriculum content, it’s extremely concerning. @fordnation canceled Indigenous curriculum writing teams, @Sflecce removed equity content from revised math curriculum, & now revised science curriculum. #OntEd #OnPoli

@SandraEConnolly Yes! We are very excited!

@daniellepetch27 @MotherTeresaCES @micheleatplay The Grade 6s suggested it. I just didn’t realize it was already so close! Tuesday will be E for EQAO! We are planning their own “wheels” day though.

Video chatting with @socialtworker today to support our technology inquiry. Lots of great advice on how to balance technology. “Own the technology. The technology doesn’t own you.” Step away, go outside, talk to people, have dinner with family. #STMTCourtice

Looking at our #landacknowledgement as an inquiry in our class. We have many big questions we are looking to answer but most importantly want to make sure we honour Mississaugas of Scugog First Nation in our revision. @MotherTeresaCES #DeepLearning #STMTCourtice

[MTInquiringminds @MTInquiringmind]

Thank you @GemmitiFolz for capturing this! It was such a busy afternoon that I didn’t take out my camera. I am so very proud of all of these students! They did a wonderful job!

[Lisa Gemmiti-Folz @GemmitiFolz]

One week from today is the rally for education! We are mobilizing, and working with parents for this family-friendly event. There will be face painting, music, an art station, the Samba squad and more. Join us and together we will tell the Ford govt that #CutsHurtKids #onpoli

@KadsEdu Yes! And by looking at the number of expectations/strands that have to be “covered”. Reduce the expectations for depth rather than breadth.
