@JeromeAdamsMD Lots of possibilities. One bidder may already have plenty of work so he bids high and doesn't care whether he gets the job. Other possibility is different specifications so it's apples to oranges. You really have to be careful with construction companies, some are shady.
@JeromeAdamsMD@bdw_indiana Taxpayer subsidies also go to beef ranchers, almond growers, and just about every type of agricultural enterprise. If you have a ramen noodle budget, you don't need or want a high end grocery store in your neighborhood.
@Race2Extinct Fellow Selway enthusiast and trail volunteer here. I can relate to your comments about trails disappearing. Yeah, stock animals do a lot of damage and only benefit a tiny percentage of the population.
