A traumatic brain injury fractured more than my skull, it fractured the autonomous, adventurous life I knew. The impact left me with minimal vision, life-threatening complications, and years of physical and emotional reckoning. Recovery was neither linear nor predictable.
In its shadow, I searched for meaning and found it in the mountains.
