And here we have the biggest debate of December: is it acceptable for a young boy to be interested in play kitchens? my answer to that is ABSOLUTELY. Society has instilled in the world that women should be responsible for the kitchen and inherit the “housewife” role.

gender and identity roles are heavily labeled by society and society determines what’s acceptable and what’s not for men and women. cooking is seen as a woman’s job but what would a single father do?

the sweet smell of success was actually a pretty good movie. We get insight to the steamy side of Broadway. the whole storyline is very intriguing and the actors were excellent. The film was also very well paced so it kept my attention #gsuafh1

When we were discussing fairytales, it made me realize the evolution of fairytales. They’ve always targeted the younger generation and now they are becoming more realistic. The storyline is continuously the same, the presentation is just altered. #gsufsf

for this last week, I decided to rewatch an old favorite tv show, The Nanny. Of course I was younger when I was watching it, but now I really understand it and I never realized how much racism plays a role. There are always slick comments dealing with people of color. #gsufsf
