Obviously there were always biases with the BBC - it was operated by the world's largest colonial power and could be clouded by certain norms when covering UK affairs, but regardless, its decline has been a major loss for journalism.

Over the weekend BBC 'Breaking News' alerts have provided near hour-by-hour coverage of Novak Djokovic's being refused by Australia for failing to get vaccinated yet hardly anything on the mounting Johnson scandals or the end of BBC as we know it

And a strong BBC does matter. For decades it was a reliable, relatively impartial news outlet for the UK+world. Without organisations like these, even more people turn to free-to -access fake news because on the internet people won't (or can't) pay for quality journalism.

@TerryDieHeiden Some people have no reaction, some people have a delayed reaction. I felt fine the first day after first dose, but then I was super tired for 2 weeks. I know others who had no side effects. I had my 2nd dose of Pfizer 12hrs ago, so far I seem fine?

@firagayatri I always felt safer in jkt than western cities even though I don't blend in. I felt like my neighbours/people on the street would come help. Worst thing that happened was some teenagers tried to steal my phone but people helped. I was often stalked/harassed at 'home' no one cared

The climate crisis is not an issue for future generations to handle but for ours. If the immediate affects were more harshly felt by western countries there would be pressure for immediate action globally - instead we're still letting MNCs off the hook
