@dmaciejewski Hoping for Marquette and Bears communities I follow to go there in short order, but City, Hawks/hockey, and wrestling folks I follow are starting to migrate over, and experience is much improved from last I checked a few months ago.
@dmaciejewski If Owens is healthy enough and plays to his talent level, that would really help the rotation. And Parham needs to be in rotation with his skillet also.
@SBN_Ricky@DaBearNecess As bad as that Hail Mary was, if it breaks the team that thoroughly, the foundation was already super weak (and for all of Flus's shortcomings, didn't think that was the case)
@AndyGlockner My thought is that Trump brings out many voters that don't care otherwise and just vote for Trump, with a sprinkling of split tickets. There is a 4-5 point swing in Nevada's top two races, and Rosen has something like 70,000 less votes than Kamala is winning by about 2 points.
@mpsever While I'm very much touting Wes Moore now, most anyone on that first list would be a strong candidate. Particularly like Moore though for his general appeal (see video of him shotgunning beers at a Ravens tailgate) to go with a strong, diverse background of qualifications.
@BBaranowski I was clearly not a fan of the result, but basically the entire country went a few points to the right (not just the swing states that decided election). This isn't even 2016, where three key states were roughly same margin, and also about 3 points off of national margin.
@mpsever Along with Texas being more favorable political climate to me, I worry about half of Florida being literally underwater by the time of the 2030 census.
@mpsever This is why I'm hoping that Dems start investing in a strong party infrastructure ASAP in Texas, especially since I think they've got a pretty strong candidate for governor in 2026 (James Talarico). Reverse strong gains that Trump made with Latino men, and you can be competitive
@mpsever I should be last person rooting for Trump to run a third time given how much Ive underestimated him, but I'd love to see an 83 year old Trump (that if hes still with us, is in a wheelchair by then) against someone like Wes Moore
@mpsever Pre-Trump, I would have argued that as well, but I think that there are enough working class voters that can be swung back (and again, it will help if and most likely when Trump policies fail them).
@dmaciejewski One thing Dems need to do though is to find a successful message to working class voters in next 2-4 years, both Senate and presidential map needs to be greatly expanded (not just hold blue wall). Along with Sun Belt states, need to get Ohio back in play and chip away at Texas.
@dmaciejewski I'll grant the economy isn't great for all, but it's not something that should have been such an anchor, especially if you show where it came from four years ago (and there's enough truth to blaming Trump for worst of Covid to have further gone on that attack).
@dmaciejewski Dems have largely had a messaging problem post Obama, and Trump can sell ice to Eskimos. Most of the Dem positions are broadly popular as seen as by ballot initiative results in last few elections, but we especially can't sell on the front foot
@AJDelgado13 They invested just enough time there to hopefully start slow climb back in future cycles (and realistically make it competitive in 2032), but not too much at expense of others

@AndyGlockner Even though it's gone red in the last three elections, it's been close each time (and that was before the top of the ticket had a Roy Moore level drag on it in the second most important race). Also why I feel decent about Arizona (Lake isn't quite Mark Robinson, but still a drag)
@HighFlyLo I'd move them more towards face side with so many heel factions being pushed already (MOXCC, Callis Family, LFI, Hurt Syndicate, at least for now), but they need to start getting some big wins regardless, especially if they want to a top of the card threat.
