@AprilynneAlter It seems that way based on their comment sections, but I would love to verify! I’ve always figured it’s because my branding is feminine leaning orr men prefer to listen to men when it comes to productivity. Maybe a mix!
@AprilynneAlter I think about this a lot!! I’m in the productivity space and 94%? Of my audience are female, whereas I assume that male creators in my niche have a much stronger balance of men and women (at least 70/30!)
An app won't change your productivity.
🌿 Removing resistance
🌿 Removing distractions
🌿 Having "task clarity"
🌿 Making *getting started* easy
🌿 Prioritising tasks with the biggest impact
Changes your productivity. Apps can!! help with these things - up to a point.
You are what you engage with. Whether it's:
- The thoughts you give attention
- The activities you do
- The people you spend time with
- The books you read
What you give your attention to shapes your identity. So *try v hard* to be intentional about directing your attention.
It's an awful pill to swallow - but there is *no* elusive nugget of wisdom that's going to change everything for you.
Most of the time, you need to revisit what you already know. You need to reflect on what's worked. You need to use the tools and information you *already have*.
You are under no obligation to do goal setting in a certain way.
Pls throw the SMART goal template in the trash, follow the fun, set no deadlines, experiment, and have 0 accountability. Or don't do any of that.
It doesn't matter what you do - as long as it feels right for you.
Self-curiosity is observing how you act, think and feel like a curious scientist.
It's:
- A huge one up from self-criticism.
- A stepping stone towards self-acceptance.
This is how I'd LOVE for you to interact with my content:
1. Take what resonates, and leave the rest.
2. Make changes that work better for your brain, body, and situation.
3. Repeat.
My biggest "aha" moments have come from taking the above steps over n' over.
The biggest predictor of your happiness isn't what you're doing, it's the thoughts you're having *while you do things*.
Getting even a little better at managing your thoughts/feeling, for most people, is the #1 way to increase contentment.
4 - "Imagine you cannot choose any of the current options you’re considering. What else could you do?"
Widen your frame. Straight from the book "Decisive" by Chip and Dan Heath (a few of these questions are - try "What's your problem?" too).
9 - If you were to make a bet on the outcome of this decision being positive, what chances do you think you'd have of winning?
10 - Is there a way to "sample" the decision you're leaning towards?
3 - "It's been a year and your decision to ... turned out terribly. Why?"
A lil anti-vision never hurt anyone.
The wonderful thing about an anti-vision is that you can take steps to prevent it from coming to life should you move forward on your decision.
