From a dusty, often muddy and impassable stretch, Guba Road in London Ward, Nakuru Town West Sub-county has seen a remarkable transformation. These photos document the journey since February 2024 when I launched the project, to the local residents who played a part in its progress, and now to the near-complete, smooth and accessible road, drainage system and footpaths ready to serve the community.

Every person, peaceably and unarmed, has a right to assemble, to demonstrate, to picket, and to present petitions to public authorities in Kenya.

I therefore humbly urge law enforcement agencies to show restraint from use of excessive force on peaceful demonstrators.
