this week, i wrote about indomitable heterosexuality, saw-like emotional traps, three stories (itoi nozo's "gray to blue no aimade," psyche delico's "inu mo kuwanai," and yamagata satomi's "manic love") that each feature three men trading places.

this week, i wrote a blurb for every doujinshi i bought at manga ichiba, the first american doujinshi-only event. this post is over 6k words, which doesn't seem possible, but i hope it gives back just a little love to all the doujinka who were there at fanime.

@Ojichan_Ojisan this to me feels like "vertical scrolling" pacing. the back to back almost identical frames "works" when you scroll vertically bc it's like a flipbook. but there's no reason for it to appear that way on a page.
@Ojichan_Ojisan yeah i think a lot of it is in muscle memory about how to use panels to move your eyes across the page and how to use text bubbles. in vertical scrolling you can have lots of text bubbles that then go into big pictures -- it's weird in a page format tho
While Charma was dominant from '79 to '85, Charmuro did exist though to a more unconventional and sometimes heartbreaking degree. In Vol. 3 & 4 of Norinetto by The Evil Women's Publishing Bureau, Amuro is cucked constantly by Char with Garma. Illustrated by Takeru Wakaba in 1982.
does anyone want to come over to my place and i'll make you mediocre pasta and cake and then print out pictures of your faves to put on them. at-home collab cafe experience.
@sweeppeech excellent. instead of special coasters or can badges i offer each participant the opportunity for a "praise my oshi" session where you get two minutes to talk about your fave and then everyone else has to praise them for one minute afterwards.
