Excited to share our article on seasonal variation in in-hospital cardiac arrest, just published in JACC-EP. Thanks to Dr. Arshad Jahangir for his mentorship. Key findings:
1. We noted consistently higher rate of IHCA in winter than in summer, in both sexes, in all age
Congratulations @niloofarjavadi, Aurora St. Luke’s Colton Fellow, on presenting a moderated poster on Predictors of Aortopathy in Bicuspid Aortic Valve at #AHA25. Excellent work! 👏
@renujain19@AJamilTajik @fuadfehmi
I received a hepatic vein Doppler from @AJamilTajik questioning me, What is it?
I need your help to figure this one out. @ASE360 What more information do we need to confirm the diagnosis?
💡🚨 New Study Alert: Nonelective mitral transcatheter edge-to-edge repair #MTEER leads to worse outcomes than elective procedures.
Read here ➡️https://t.co/dGLIVzXqYT
Keypoints:
Nonelective M-TEER has a higher in-hospital mortality than elective cases
Resource utilization is worse in non-elective cases
Outcomes improved over time only in elective cases
Racial minorities and Medicaid patients are more likely to undergo non-elective M-TEER.
It’s been a pleasure working with each of them. I wish them great success in their future careers as excellent cognitive cardiologists providing the best care to their patients.
