@jonnycross1@uberoracle@missmayim We also had a “buy back scheme” for a time. People could hand over guns no questions asked, & be reimbursed. & people did it, because that 1 mass shooting shocked our country into action. Did criminals hand over guns? Doubt it, but it’s still much harder now to get a gun
@jonnycross1@uberoracle@missmayim No. We had 1 mass shooting in the 90’s & the govt acted. It took time, & it’s not like criminals can’t get guns illegally if they want them. It’s just much harder & u can still get a gun legally, u just have to undergo background checks, produce reasons & waiting periods.
America, where u have to pass a test to get a drivers licence, where u have to b 21 to drink, but u can walk in to any shop & buy a military style automatic weapon at 18, no questions asked.
America, where ur child isn’t guaranteed to be safe at their prison like armoured school
@missmayim This one didn’t even make the news here in Australia that I saw. The rest of the world throw their hands up in disgust that a first world country can be more dangerous than a 3rd world one at war.
@uberoracle@missmayim And it’s the same in Australia & New Zealand, and pretty much any other country with a govt with 1/2 a brain 🤷🏻♀️
The fact so many Americans can’t see the clear evidence from this confounds me!
@NSWHealth What a load of crap!
People who have lined up at 3am r being turned away due 2 over demand & understaffed. Can’t get tested on mid north coast, even if u have been in contact with someone & are sick. with the cost of the home tests skyrocketing, noone who needs it will be tested
@Pink They can always come to Australia where we can’t go anywhere or do anything unless we are vaccinated. & from November 1st that includes going to work 🙄
