Are you as deeply disappointed in the leadership of @theAGU and @ORNL as I am? This is not who I thought we are. Civil disobedience has a valid place in public discourse, and that includes scientific meetings.
The outcome? They were incredibly kind and receptive to the information and my ask, and we ended up having a very good meeting. I am so grateful for their compassion and willingness to pivot our focus.

TW: mention of depressive episode, anxiety
I am currently in the depths of the worst depressive episode I've had in years, and so my productivity has plummeted. I had a meeting scheduled for this morning with my advisor and project PI. (1/4)
I want to help #EndTheStigma, so, as terrified as I was, I ended up prefacing our meeting with this information, and I asked that we spend the meeting defining specific tasks that I can focus my limited brain power/energy on. (3/4)
