@cestmare happily ever after as a whole feels weirdly written from the perspective of tlq knowing that damsel leaving will end the world, even though you logically don't in the narrative? especially with what she says here of "we were all trying to make things work here"
@FawningDoe_1225 this might sound rude but it feels like people getting mad about a form of representation they can relate to being headcanoned(!!! not claimed to be in the story!!) into being something they can't. obviously the desselle shipper sucks though
@FawningDoe_1225 i don't think it's right to put one form of representation over another. it feels like the same thing as people going "ralsei can't be trans because it's gnc erasure"
this might be surface level but i absolutely adore how frustrated and disgusted the narrator is in the 'sweet' routes. especially the den with how he continually grasps to try and paint her as evil and animalistic
he tries to assert himself and paint her in a negative light because she's nonverbal and can't assert her intent but just fails repeatedly. he's nothing but hot air here because of the player's choice to amend things
@cestmare it's like. falling for the facade the viewer is meant to dismantle to think like that in regards to damsel and hea. it's frustratingly shallow to register her route like that
@cestmare people think like this?? actually?? like to a logical degree i get that there'd be That Kind of person playing slay the princess but i can't wrap my head around it
@shiftycest i really like paranoid in specific he's so interesting to me. and hunted and cold and hero i'm greedy for voices every voice should be in every route
@ssunheejippery it's an adaptation. you can't expect it to carry over the exact framing of the manga, and it's an uncomfortable shot on purpose to give a sense of tension
@Unreckonenigzed i think this is moreso just an effect of how they seem to gain some distance from each other when crossing over to the front of the tree
