It’s actually telling how bad the Republican Party is in CO. The government has done a TERRIBLE job of infrastructure, financial management, homelessness and crime and there is no moderate, reasonable voice that has come in and said “I can fix this”. We get Boebert performing lewd acts in the theatre instead.
@xwanyex This is mostly me with the caveat that I think punishment for violent crimes should be punished across the board (no matter the disparities it may cause) and that punishment for non-violent crimes should mostly be community service based.
@eigenrobot Yea…been talking about this with people on the left and right about this for awhile. The “civil war” won’t be two front lines opposing each other. It will be knives, bombs, guns in the streets. Everyone loses. It’s a shame.
So if someone is a danger to the public, but has a mental health condition we should just…let them go out and hope for the best? Why do we have to take that chance? Why do the violent have more rights than non-violent? I understand the urge to have empathy but not at the expense of the productive members of society.
@StatisticUrban@AEI Speaking for CO a large majority of this is builders defect laws causing it to be expensive to operate for any builder working on multi family housing.
To clarify I’m not maga nor even very conservative. Just a normie independent. It’s weird how the left “talking heads” seem to try and downplay it? Why aren’t we talking about people that have been arrested for 1,2,3-10+ violent crimes and get out and cause a loss of life? Shouldn’t we be angry? Shouldn’t we be questioning our judicial system?
See this is what’s gross. He has done real research, uncovered real things, presented things in a way that the story was told from a real perspective. Far left “you’re a puppet” because he doesn’t pass the purity test and respond with the correct amount of zeal. This is why everyone hates you. Gtfo.
@sentdefender Frustrating to be sure…I will say a standard of mental health prior to gun purchases doesn’t seem like a terrible idea on first glance. What they are doing in this instance justifies every 2a persons disagreement with it.
@conor64 I don’t like Trump but I called this when I saw the cases they brought against him. Could wish he would take the high road but we all knew he wouldn’t.
