@asacwys@mykeels Consequently, you retreated, like the barbarian lacking the Aristotlean slant and any opposing principle, to the low and facile expedient of tribal whistling.
Intelligence must draw on memory. The mind must not simply compile data — as an algorithm now does more quickly than we can — but recall lived experiences, which contain depths of meaning that only the human soul can recognize, and connect more deeply with the goodness of these experiences. Everything that is good begins “with the Spirit” and thus possesses a breath, a dynamism and a sense of communion that, once experienced, are engraved upon the heart. https://t.co/Ij21tkb3qT
If you're in Christ, there is sufficient provision to overcome sin.
Don't normalise frequent sins; your Saviour is more than able to help you stand.
The hardest part has been done already,
The God who justified you can sanctify you wholly!
it's so funny watching other people use LLMs, they'll be writing paragraphs directing the LLM to solve the bug they're working on while i'll paste a log file with the single word "bruh" attached
For Christians, the poor are not a sociological category, but the very ‘flesh’ of Christ. Christ, poor and crucified, continues to allow Himself to be encountered and loved through these men and women, who call us to go beyond ourselves and to dare to practice charity. #ApostolicJourney #France https://t.co/AZk7XS3KGB
Not trying to answer the question but something usually seems off when we try to use effectiveness to measure/determine things done for God’s purposes.
If I preach for 1,000 days for one person to be saved, is that efficient? What’s the worth of a soul?
But generally speaking, I don’t see Jesus being efficient. A lot about how Jesus calls us to live is not efficient.
Maybe one day I’ll write about this. But it’s been on my mind for a bit.
It is not you who tells God how you will worship Him.
It is God who tells you how you will worship Him.
And He has told us in the scriptures. Do not add to it or remove from it.
What is destroying Nigeria is not lack of big dreams among Nigerians. Very scarcely will you find a society of bigger dreamers than Nigerians and especially among southern Nigerian christians.
What is destroying Nigeria is wickedness and evil. This is what the church was created to reduce but it has occupied itself with worthless pursuits.
The failure of the church is not that it produced too few driven people. We do not lack worldly ambition.
We have lost our saltiness by failing to give society the righteousness and justice it lacks. Nigeria's sins are our reproach and destruction, not our lack of drive.
