The West and especially the US screwed Ukraine over by taking away their nukes and not respecting the Budapest Memorandum.
Every small and middle power in the world learned from that.
No matter how much Israel bombs them - Iran will get a nuclear weapon even if Iranians have to eat grass.
And if you thought the Middle East was fucked before, wait till you see the new arms race that will explode both literally and figuratively over there.
And it is all Obama's and Merkel's fault for letting the russians take Crimea with almost no consequences in 2014 and Biden and NATO's fault for not helping Ukraine decisively in 2022.
I`m just waiting for the Ukrainian nuke and I hope Romania gets back on making one too.
Doesn't it feel disgusting to see British and American jets shoot down missiles over Israel because Israel just started a war with another country?
While just one week ago, the US diverted 20.000 air defence missiles from protecting Ukrainian cities to the Middle East.
A horrible @airindia crash today being the first 787 Dreamliner ever to have a fatal incident
Both the 787 and the 737 Max are part of the new "problem generation" of Boeing aircraft starting around the mid-2000s
Like the 737 Max, the Dreamliner had lots of manufacturing/safety issues but at least until today it never crashed
We have to wait for the investigation to make any conclusions why though
This crash puts the 787 Dreamliner near the bottom of airplane models in fatality odds though, positioning it next to the ATR 42/72, the plane that fell from the sky in Brazil last year
I personally solely fly Airbus planes:
- Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 Classic or Neo
- Airbus A350
- Airbus A340
- Airbus A380
Or Boeing models but ONLY from before the mid-2000s:
- Boeing 737NG
- Boeing 747-400
- Boeing 777
- Boeing 717
All of these have great safety records
The 737 Max and 787 Dreamliner do not
I track all of these on my sites ✈️ Airline List dot com
P.S. I am NOT suicidal
Drones are changing some of the fundamentals of warfare. The 3:1 attacker-to-defender ratio is likely no longer applicable in drone warfare. All other things being even, the side with the most drone operators will likely win on the modern battlefield as drone operators target enemy drone operators first.
Both sides operate from concealed positions so neither side really has an advantage over the other. Drone operators hunt each other until one side eliminates the other or they retreat due to losses in drone operators.
Defending infantry and assault troops from the attacking side obviously complicate the situation on the battlefield but overall its the side with dominance in drone operator numbers that dominates the modern battlefield.
Military planners in Ukraine and NATO need to get this into their heads and pour resources into training drone operators for an advantage in numbers. Even if the 3:1 attacker-to-defender ratio remains in place for infantry, the number of drone operators on the defending side must exceed the number of drone operators on the attacking side.
