The @UN #GeneralAssembly has adopted a resolution emphasizing the need for accountability to ensure Israel's compliance with its international law obligations. The resolution calls on UN member states to take all necessary measures to ensure Israel adheres to these obligations.

An overwhelming majority of 149 states voted in favor of the resolution. It is important for historical purposes of accountability to note which states voted against it or abstained, especially in the midst of an ongoing live broadcast genocide.

The resolution reiterates previous calls from #UNGA for a permanent ceasefire and the unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas and other groups. Additionally, it strongly condemns the use of starvation as a method of warfare against civilians and demands that Israel immediately lift its blockade of Gaza to allow humanitarian aid to reach Palestinians
