The most powerful productivity tool I've ever used costs £8 and has zero technology in it.
A paper planner.
My mum bought me one when I went to university.
I've used one every single day since, for about SIX years now.
Every Sunday I plan Monday to Wednesday. Leave space for ad hoc tasks. Every day I add to the next. Wednesday I finish through to the weekend.
I've tried https://t.co/bzqMnxmmdp. Notion. Apple Notes. Reminders. Nothing beats writing it down on paper and ticking it off.
Looking back through old planners is mad. I've got pages where I wrote "get a grad job" or "buy my car" or "book a driving lesson."
Those were my goals back then. Where we broke then down into small tasks I ticked off day by day until I got there.
Goals for the year mean nothing without monthly, weekly and daily actions.
Plan your week. Look back on Friday. You'll realise you did way more than you thought.
I've bought this planner for three of my mates. Hoping it changes their year the way it changed mine.
