Why did Lammens boot the ball to the FB instead of going long on 94’ btw?
Game management was utterly shocking. No urgency to clear the ball, get out from underneath, just clinging on for the sake of it. Just no urgency to get out.
Need so much more from Cunha—Mbeumo, we’ve had countless opportunities where we’re carrying the ball at pace moving forward and they’re just not clean & sharp enough whatsoever. Killed so many chances.
Nothing left to say about it, everyone knew we needed one coming into the market. Not good enough from INEOS. Midfield rebuild had been pretty good but we all knew there was more to come with that in order for us to take the next step.
Meanwhile City have spent 325m on a midfield rebuild, Chelsea have spent massive for Alonso to play a specific type of football, likewise with RDZ to Spurs.
Don't think it's a good summer window to panic in because of the state of it but I just don't understand how we've ended up with no defensive reinforcements this window. Just seems really poorly planned.
🚨Rio Ferdinand on where Michael Carrick got it wrong as Manchester United lost 2–0 to Hull City:
🗣️ Rio Ferdinand: “Listen, when I saw the starting lineup and then heard Carrick confirm that Amad was injured, I immediately looked at Hull’s back five and thought, ‘Sesko should have started this game.’ If Amad isn’t available and you know Hull are going to defend with five, you need a proper presence in the box. Bruno and Tielemans are both capable of delivering quality crosses, so why not have your big striker attacking them?
“You don’t necessarily need Luke Shaw at left-back either. Dorgu could have held that position, with Cunha playing through the middle and Mainoo starting alongside Tielemans. For me, only one of the two new midfield signings should have started. Santos and Tielemans are both new to the team, and putting them together immediately in a difficult away game was a risk.
“Then you have Mbeumo on the right, Cunha supporting the attack and Sesko occupying those centre-backs. Suddenly, you’ve got a team that can stretch Hull, attack crosses and create problems in the box. Instead, United made it easier for Hull to stay compact.
“And that’s the frustrating part. Hull showed their hand very early. They had five defenders, four midfielders and were protecting the central areas. United needed to recognise that and change the way they attacked. You cannot keep trying to play through the middle when the opposition has deliberately put a wall there.
“I’m not putting the whole defeat on Carrick because the players have to take responsibility as well. They lost too many individual battles and didn’t show enough intensity. But the manager has to look at the game and ask himself whether he picked the right tools for the job.
“Manchester United had enough quality to win this match. But against a newly promoted side sitting deep, you have to pick a lineup that can force them out of their shape. I don’t think Carrick did that from the first whistle.”
Chiwetel Ejiofor is an outstanding actor that never really gets the credit he truly deserves. His charisma dominates the screen, often cast in secondary roles he exudes leading man energy.
I can just about accept dividing the game into quarters for ad breaks, but half time shows do not belong at the world cup, or at any actual sporting event. This is just unspeakably cringe.
Physical discs have become download prompts these days, anyway.
It was obvious this was where we were going and it fucking sucks.
First time they sold collectors editions without discs we knew it was nearly over.
Let's say the PS6 is a digital only console (pretty much guaranteed now) and 20yrs after it's release you wanna get a game for the PS6 but they've shut down the store just like they did for the PS3/Vita. What are you going to do?
You can't go to a gamestop, a pawn shop, a flea market, ebay or whatever. This is planned obsolescence in its' final form. PlayStation now has 100% control over how you buy and play a game.
Your boy wanna sell you a game for cheap? Can't do that, gotta buy full price on PSN. Wanna give your boy a game to check out? too bad, he's gotta buy it for $70 on PSN.
This is terrible for videogame preservation and consumer rights
@jonesvibesonly Putting to the side for a moment that the live action adaptation is completely UNNECESSARY. Perhaps the ATLA community wouldn’t react this way if the Netflix live action adaptation was complete dog shit! Just a thought
@academiadgamers@NeoJoaov The downgrade of Kratos do explain please? And what about the story was rushed? How was the development of Atreus terrible? What made Odin such a terrible villain exactly?
@EsemicolonR how the hell do they plan on shoehorning in the painted lady story? I’m very curious as to storytelling gymnastics they will pull try and justify that
Can't even get basic shit like "There is no war in Ba Sing Se" right. The writers were Mandela-memed into having Joo Dee say it, which ruins the setup/reveal of the city. IT'S A MANTRA FOR BRAINWASHING--she literally can't broach the topic!
Rest of the trailer is total ass, ofc
