I actually respect people who can say “I used to think this but I don’t anymore.” that takes more self awareness than pretending you’ve always been right.
girl to girl: please don’t let adulthood take away your ability to be excited. scream over the concert tickets. get excited about your new dress. send your girls 40 pictures from the dressing room. be silly. life needs more of that.
Take care of yourself, because life really does go on. You won’t be stuck forever. You won’t hurt forever. One day, you’ll heal, you’ll love again and you’ll move forward. This moment is not your whole story. Be patient with yourself. Better days are still coming.
a lot of you desperately need to start getting back in touch with the real world. it’s not enough to touch grass - you need to join a community group, go to an irl book club, volunteer, get an adult job. you need SOMETHING to help quell the chronically online brainrot.
a girl on tiktok said “healing is so hard because it is a constant battle between your inner child who is scared and just wants safety.... your inner teenager who is angry and just wants justice.... and your current self-who is tired and just wants peace." and it hits me hard.
the older i get the more i really dislike people who don’t stand for anything at all, like you don’t have to be an activist but like… nothing?? nothing gets you passionate or caring for others? 😭
Remember Mamdani isn't proof you should move to NYC, he's proof you can demand more from your mayor & they absolutely are capable of what you're asking & more, the castle majority are just lazy or don't have people asking so they don't take initiative. Demand more from your mayor
let people reintroduce themselves to you, even your closest friends. let them reintroduce their hobbies, dreams, and soul. familiarity shouldn't be a cage. love them for who they are now, not just who they were then.
Today I opened the first black portrait studio and fine art gallery in my city with 16 of the most talented artist!
