🚨Punjab govt has restricted wheat supply to KP.
KP already depends heavily on Punjab for wheat because it does not produce enough for its own population. KP needs around 5.2 million metric tons of wheat every year but only produces nearly 1.2 million. So obviously, if Punjab starts restricting wheat supply or creates hurdles in transportation, KP suffers immediately, and who suffers first? Ordinary people.
Flour prices go up, mills shut down, and people start struggling to afford basic food. Reports already showed flour prices in KP increasing sharply after these restrictions, while many flour mills were forced to stop operations because supply was disrupted.
But the worst part is the politics behind it. If Punjab keeps excess wheat within its own province, prices there stay stable or lower. Then people start comparing:
“Look how cheap atta is in Punjab.”
“Look how expensive it is in KP.”
“Punjab government is doing better.”
“PTI government in KP has failed.”
Meanwhile, the reality is that if you control the supply of a wheat-dependent province and then restrict that supply, of course prices there will rise. That is not better governance. That is creating an artificial crisis and then blaming the other side for it.
Food should never be used for political point scoring. Poor people should not have to suffer hunger just so governments can build narratives against each other. It's a shame!
The CDA keeps feeding people lies. Why don’t they tell the truth that the land they acquired in 1962 still hasn’t been properly compensated to this day? The real affectees of that land are still wandering from place to place, suffering for generations, while the benefits are being enjoyed by people who were never even the true owners of the land. The CDA itself has become a land-grabbing authority. This is one of the greatest injustices ever done to the centuries-old residents of Islamabad.
@dranamfatima After months of effort, forest land is being “returned to nature” but it raises a deeper question.
Can it really be called nature when the people who lived there are removed to make space for it?
Trees may grow again, but what about the lives that were uprooted in the process? The homes that once stood there weren’t just “concrete” they were shelters, memories, and survival for those who had nowhere else to go.
It’s easy to plant trees and call it restoration. It’s harder to rebuild broken lives.
Because nature doesn’t only disappear when forests are cut… sometimes it disappears when humanity does.
The streets in our locality were torn apart for gas pipelines, and now they have been left broken for over a year. People can barely ride bikes or drive cars safely.
When residents went to the PMLN representative responsible for the area and asked him to fix the mess, his response was:
“Aap logon ke votes se aya hun jo main aap ke kaam karun?”
This is exactly what Form 47 has done to this country. This is what happens when you steal people’s votes and impose your desired government just to satisfy your ego. Accountability dies, and the public is left to suffer.
The tragedy is not just petrol reaching Rs414; it is how every economic crisis gets normalized until people stop protesting and start adjusting their lives around suffering.
While people are busy sacrificing basic comfort just to survive, the govt keeps selling “international recognition” and diplomatic vision as if global applause can pay utility bills or fill fuel tanks. FGS!!!

She went to court asking for protection, clearly stating her life was in danger. Instead of safety, she was sent back, and killed. This is not just an “honour killing”; it’s institutional failure. When the system cannot protect those who seek help, it becomes part of the crime.
It’s 2026, and justice still arrives too late for women in Pakistan. Whether she speaks out against domestic violence or stays silent, the outcome remains the same. Raising awareness is not enough when the system itself fails to respond to the need for protection.

“The case W.P. 4298-2019,”
Dear Anam Fatima,
The Islamabad High Court, through Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, has already settled this matter yet the Capital Development Authority continues to act as if the law does not apply to it. After fighting the people of Bari Imam for five years and losing, the CDA was clearly ordered to develop a model village for Nurpur Shahan, just like the Kuri Model Village.
Justice inam ameen minhas also praised this ruling and asked why the order was not being implemented. Both judges said the same thing—why are you not following the court’s decision?”
This is not open to interpretation. This is not optional. This is a binding court order.
So the real question is: why is CDA defying the court? Why are citizens being displaced while lawful directives are ignored? Two things cannot coexist rule of law and selective enforcement.

Is the law really equal for everyone?
When it comes to poor settlements, bulldozers arrive without delay, and homes are reduced to rubble within moments. But when the matter involves the “elite” or powerful classes, notices are issued, legal stays are granted, and operations are suddenly paused.
How long will this double standard continue?
Is justice meant to be strict only for the weak and flexible for the powerful?
The true essence of law is equality. But when its force consistently falls on only one side, questions are bound to arise about fairness, accountability, and justice itself.
