@auteurhouse Scorsese's better than Kubrick, Kubrick wasn't really a storyteller, he was mainly a visual artist. Scorsese was the whole package back around Goodfellas era.
Spike Lee, like Chuck D, has never been as good as he's supposed to be.
@JackCuthbert You need to read up on genetic bottlenecks. Twists have to mean something to the audience. That one is just unexpected, nothing else. There's no emotion in that reveal. If you just reveal it at the end, how does it change the movie?
@carouselshotgun I despise Roth but he is or was a "Master of Horror". It's just a group of directors who get drunk and talk shit and sometimes make anthologies. A large group, too, which Roth's probably in more because of his connections than his talent, which is the story of his life.
@BadFilmTakes1 All those films were shite. Aragorn? The man's more wooden than Keanu Reeves. As it happens I watched Eastern Promises with two Russian dudes and they nearly cringed themselves circular.
@S6lb_@rreiiiL You're not supposed to clean your ears every day. You're not supposed to put anything in your ears at all, it's extremely dangerous. Leave it to a professional.
@LegionHoops@JeremyOttoPxP They're charging what, street guys, working class guys 250 bucks to audition for their already fabulously wealthy entertainment business? Man, shameful.
@esidery He's such an odd cat. Such a great player and when I see him discussing hoops or whatever I usually find him cool, but then he does all the stuff with the burner accounts and everything? Man, if I was in his shoes I wouldn't have time for piddling shit like that.
@atotalposer The old shorts in Weird Tales and pulp paperbacks had some of the most awkwardly worded names. Stuff like "Whoso Diggeth a Pit", "Whence Came the Night-Gaunts". Influenced by the King James Bible style like Bradbury and Lovecraft.
