APPRECIATION MESSAGE: NEXTGEN INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2026 NATIONAL SHOWCASE.

On behalf of the Board, Management and entire Staff of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), I extend my profound gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to every distinguished guest, partner, stakeholder and well-wisher whose gracious presence, goodwill and invaluable support contributed immensely to the remarkable success of the National Showcase of the NBTI NextGen Innovation Challenge, held yesterday at NICON Luxury Hotel, Garki, Abuja.

I wish to express our deepest appreciation to the Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Barrister Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, whose visionary leadership, unwavering commitment to innovation-driven national development and steadfast support continue to reposition Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem for sustainable growth, industrial competitiveness and economic prosperity.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Chairman House Committee on Finance and Special Guest of Honour, whose exceptional statesmanship, unwavering commitment to national development and consistent support for innovation, technology commercialization, entrepreneurship and youth empowerment continue to inspire transformational progress across our nation. Your encouragement and invaluable support remain a great source of strength to NBTI and the Nigerian innovation community.

We are profoundly grateful to the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr Mukhtar Yawale Muhammad,mni, for his exemplary administrative leadership, invaluable guidance and steadfast commitment towards advancing the Ministry’s strategic mandate of fostering innovation, scientific advancement and technological development.

We equally appreciate the distinguished Chief Executives and Heads of Agencies and Institutions who honoured our invitation, including the Director-General of NASRDA, Director-General of NACETEM, Director-General of the Nigerian Institute for Trypanosomiasis and Onchocerciasis Research (NITR), Director-General of NITDA, Director-General of NDE, Executive Secretary of NBTE, Director-General of SON, National Commissioner/Chief Executive Officer of the NDPC, the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, the Registrar/Chief Executive of JAMB, the Registrar of the Trademark Registry, the Managing Director of NIGCOMSAT, the Managing Director of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority, the President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the Executive Chairman of the EFCC, the Chairman of the Oyo Forum, and every other institutional leader who either attended personally or was ably represented.

Our profound gratitude also goes to the Country Director of WIPO, UNESCO, the distinguished members of the Diplomatic Corps, our esteemed international development partners, the Chairman/CEO of GIGAWATT Global, the UKALD Team, investors, industry leaders, academia, research institutions and every strategic partner whose participation enriched the quality of discussions and strengthened our collective resolve to build a globally competitive innovation ecosystem for Nigeria.
