If fuel comes down to N600 tomorrow, I will withdraw as vice president for Atiku and I will campaign for Tinubu. Tinubu will not rig this election because there might not be a Nigeria if he rigs this election. Why? Because people are tired, they are hungry. Nobody hates Tinubu. I love Tinubu, he knows.
- Rotimi Amaechi, ADC vice presidential candidate
On the question of subsidy, my position has not changed and will not change: I will restore it! A nation as blessed as ours has no business abandoning its citizens to hardship. Nigeria is rich enough to look after her own.
I believe the wealth of a nation is not measured by how much government collects, but by how much the money in the pockets of its people can buy.
I want wages to have value again. I want farmers to move produce without transport swallowing their profits. I want families to fill their baskets without emptying their pockets. I want businesses to produce, employ and prosper.
That is why I will restore targeted subsidy and put purchasing power back in the hands of Nigerians.
When fuel rises, transport rises. When transport rises, food rises. When food rises, families suffer.
I will break that wretched chain that has defined our national life in the nearly four years of Tinubu’s presidency.
I will support Nigerian production, reduce energy costs and restore purchasing power. I will not restore the import racket; I will restore relief.
I restated this commitment when I received the Osun State leadership of the ADC in Abuja on Tuesday.
I will make the naira in your pocket worth more, make daily living affordable again, and secure our people.
Economic security. Physical security. A better life for every Nigerian.
That is the Nigeria I intend to build. -AA
“I'm more popular than Kwankwaso, El-Rufai, and Tambuwal in the north. Kwankwaso popularity is restricted to only Kano State. Kano is even now split between him and Governor Abba Yusuf” - Atiku
Today, I joined fellow coalition leaders and committed democrats to strongly condemn the blatant partisanship and compromised neutrality of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The peaceful procession in Abuja united various opposition groups in a clear message: we will not stand idly by while our electoral umpire undermines the will of the people.
We shall continue to closely monitor INEC’s activities and demand that it immediately returns to the path of impartiality, transparency, and professionalism so that democracy can thrive in Nigeria. - RMK
This afternoon, I joined other leaders of the Coalition ADC at a World Press Conference led by our National Chairman, Sen. David Mark, on the threat posed by the partisanship of the electoral umpire. As our National Chairman assured: this attack on our democracy will not stand. Dictatorship lives, but only for a short time. -AA
A lot of ministers and governors in our party (APC) do not have President Tinubu at heart. They don't like him for who he is; they want him for what he is.
—Alwan Hassan, APC Chieftain

Today, I have formally resigned my membership from the Peoples Democratic Party.
This decision follows careful reflection on the state of affairs within the party. It was not taken lightly, but in good faith and with a clear sense of responsibility.
I remain committed to the service of our people and the pursuit of unity, progress, and good governance.
This evening, I led a delegation on a condolence visit to the family of Mallam @elrufai at his Abuja residence, standing in solidarity with them during this deeply difficult time following the irreplaceable loss of a beloved mother.
I share with Mallam the deep pain of this loss, and we prayed for the repose of the soul of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
I was pleased to observe that Mallam remains strong in faith, his spirit unbroken, and he is not down cast. I encouraged him to be strengthened in faith, for this too shall pass.
May the soul of Mama be granted a place in paradise. -AA
BREAKING NEWS: Eid Al Fitr is on Friday, 20 March 2026
The Crescent of month of Shawwal 1447 was NOT SIGHTED anywhere in the Kingdom today, subsequently the month of Ramadan will complete 30 days tomorrow and Eid Al Fitr will be on Friday
I am very sad at the latest terrorist attacks in Borno State and the resurfacing of suicide bombing that were hitherto defeated.
The increased waves of killing of soldiers and civilians by terrorists is reviving sad memories of 2014 when Boko Haram was most active in the country.
While I commend the sacrifices of our servicemen in the conduct of unconventional warfare, the Tinubu administration should review its strategies. The resurgence of terrorism is capable of eroding public confidence in the ability of the government to protect its own citizens.
Nigerians are not impressed with the government’s statements condemning terrorist attacks. They are more concerned about results. Results speak louder than the tough government’s rhetorics.
The Tinubu government appears to be more obsessed with crushing opposition politicians than it is with fixing the worsening security challenges. And it is obvious that despite the marching orders, the terrorists are still on the offensive.
Terrorists don’t know the difference between APC supporters and opposition sympathisers and it’s therefore unhelpful to dismiss honest advice as politically motivated. A government that is too heavily invested in the 2027 reelection campaign is unlikely to accept the reality of insecurity and attack those who dare talk about the gaps.
A mother in Maiduguri is not asking for press releases. She is asking why her child was blown apart in a place the government claimed was “liberated.”
Our soldiers are dying with outdated equipment while the President is on a state visit to Britain, while body parts are being gathered in Borno. We urge His Majesty the King, @RoyalFamily, to know that his guest left behind fresh graves and weeping widows to come and smile for the cameras.
Bola Tinubu claims he sent “marching orders.” The terrorists sent suicide bombers. Nigerians can see who is winning.
A government that treats funerals as routine and criticism as treason has lost the moral authority to lead.
You cannot campaign for 2027 on the graves of the people you failed to protect in 2026. -AA
