UK prices have genuinely stopped making sense.

A bottle of water can cost you £2+.

A train to London can set you back £150 just to go there and come back.

A 15-minute taxi ride somehow costs £20.

A couple of nights away in Britain can cost more than getting on a plane and leaving the country.

Your car insurance gets more expensive every year for the privilege of owning the same car.

And rent that used to be £600 a month is now pushing £1,000+ like that's completely normal.

Everything keeps getting more expensive while wages barely move.

At what point are we supposed to stop calling this a “cost of living crisis” and just admit we're being absolutely rinsed?

You work, you pay tax, you pay bills, you pay rent, you pay insurance, you pay for transport and somehow you're still left wondering where the fuck all your money went.

This country is becoming unaffordable by design, and we're just expected to shut up, keep paying and pretend it's normal.

If Palmer and Joao Pedro really want to be considered in the elite category of attackers than we need them to step up in the biggest of games this season.

Anfield, Etihad, Old Trafford are the key ones for me. Joao stepped up at Villa and Newcastle away last season which was a start, but they aren’t the big big games.

Both were quiet yesterday while Rogers already gave us a moment with a wonderful goal and has only been here a few games.

The level of corruption and malice happening at JKIA parking by KAA officers is out of this world. Yesterday, an officer directed me where to park and demanded that I squeeze a little bit so that another car could fit. As we were busy removing our bags, the KAA officers clamped the car, insisting that I had parked wrongly by crossing the painted line.

I pointed out the traffic officer who had insisted that I park that way, only for the officer to disappear into thin air. The KAA officer then insisted that I either bribe him KSh 4,000 or go to their office and part ways with a KSh 6,000 fine.

The cab guys who were there called me and told me, “Bro, hao watu wamezoea kutega hivyo. Walipe tu badala ya maneno mingi.” At that point, I knew this was pure malice.

I decided to first take my yellow yellow damsel to catch her flight, then came back few minutes later. The KAA guy approached me, and this time, the bribe had miraculously reduced to KSh 3,000.

I asked them where their office was, went there, and paid the KSh 6,000 fine through the government platform. Everyone was looking at me with Sanpanku eyes & one even had the audacity to ask me why I didn't settle things with the guys at the parking lot.

These guys needs to be stopped coz they even harassed innocent tourists. As for me, I’d rather pay the fine than being oppressed by my fellow Walala Hoii,, kiino sana. Ata wangeitisha hongo ya thao Moja ama mbili, thao tatu kwani me ni mama yao. The guy on camera is the goon in charge of bribe operation.

Call me crazy, but I don't think life was ever supposed to be this.

Wake up exhausted. Sit in traffic or cram onto a train or bus for almost two hours a day. Spend 40+ hours a week making somebody else richer. Ask permission to eat. Ask permission to go to the toilet. Count down the hours until Friday. Get two days to recover from the week you just survived, then spend one of them doing laundry, food shopping and all the jobs you couldn't do because you were at work.

Then Sunday night rolls around and the anxiety starts all over again.

And after all that? Most of your wages disappear on rent, bills and food before you've even had the chance to enjoy them.

People call this "normal."

I call it existing, not living.

We've somehow accepted a system where the best years of our lives are traded away just so we can survive long enough to do it all again next week.

There’s a reason they won’t push this as Grand Coalition, because they know very well this is the kind of coalition that has the potential to serve Kenyans, not their interests.

A Maraga, Omtatah and Sifuna led government has the potential to right so many wrongs in this country. That is exactly why the conversation will quickly shift to who can bring votes, who has numbers and who is “electable”, not because they care about Kenya but because they need politicians they can control and who will protect the very system that has looted this country for decades.

This idea that we need Person A, B or C because they will “bring votes” needs to end.
Go out there and campaign for the candidate you believe in, talk to your family, talk to your cousins, talk to your grandparents, form groups, have conversations, convince people… this is how democracies are won.

No one has a monopoly on votes in this country. As someone once said, THE VOTER IS THE KINGMAKER!!

Why are we waiting for the same political class that helped ruin this country to tell us which direction Kenya should take? Until we understand that the opposition is not a group of wealthy politicians fighting each other but you, the people, demanding better leadership, we will keep surrendering our power to those who have never had our interests at heart.

Well, wasn’t Ol Kalou the ground?

The people of Ol Kalou won the hearts of many Kenyans because they represented exactly what millions are feeling today. They are tired. Tired of a government that has forgotten it only exists because of the people who elected it.

The biggest lesson from Ol Kalou is simple, politicians can take their tricks elsewhere. When citizens decide to protect their vote, refuse intimidation, and stay vigilant from polling stations to the tallying centre, the will of the people will prevail.

The only reason many people fear this government is because it doesn’t hesitate taking lives, period!

Ol Kalou reminded the country of one thing
